We thought long and hard about an opening film, but since independent cinema appeals to such a wide audience, we decided to have a festival instead. We'd like to give you a taste of the types of films we'll be screening in our film programme.
We'll have films by established directors in our Contemporary Masters programme, films from different cultures in World Cinema and Asian Cinema, plus films highlighting local talent in the Singapore Showcase. We'll also have films from Different Perspectives - cutting edge fare that defies conventional notions of cinema. More information will follow shortly.

The Opening Film Festival will run from 24th to 29th March 2006.
